The formed word is a potent force whether written or spoken. Once formed, whether on the page or from the lips, it can’t be taken back. It sets in motion a series of energy waves like a stone forms ripples in a pond.
In his famous book, “The Four Agreements,” Don Miguel Ruiz says, “Be impeccable with your word. Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.”
The flurry of verbiage on TV and in the media doesn’t always meet the standards that Mr. Ruiz sets. In fact, the truth and integrity of written and spoken words have been tainted even at the highest levels of government.
There IS something called the truth. There IS an alignment with that truth that presents as integrity of the man or woman. People who live in the truth rise and those who don’t eventually are exposed and fall from grace.
During this season that celebrates Light in different faiths, may we be enlightened. The words we write and speak are more important than we know. As we turn the page on 2018, may consciousness be lifted and may integrity and truth follow.
With love,
Rosanne
